- managing, exporting and organising its own operational records and data as needed
EduX provides tools and storage, but clients remain responsible for their own legal and compliance obligations in relation to the data they submit.

You may request access to personal information EduX holds about you, and you may ask us to correct inaccurate, out-of-date or incomplete information. We may need to verify your identity before actioning a request. In some cases, access may be refused where permitted by law.

10. Retention and deletion
EduX keeps personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, or as otherwise required by law.
For cancelled, deregistered or closed accounts, EduX's standard position is to retain client and user data for up to 6 months after closure and then delete or de-identify it, unless:
- a longer period is required by law
- a court, regulator or lawful authority requires retention
- the data is needed to investigate misuse, fraud, disputes or security issues
Clients and users are responsible for exporting, downloading and organising any records they wish to keep before account closure. After deletion, recovery may not be possible. This retention approach reflects APP 11's requirement to take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify information no longer needed, unless another legal basis requires retention.
